Ashland Home Net and AFN got lucky.

Our fiber lines survived the firestorm that swept our valley and we are still up and running. If you are on Charter’s Spectrum service, you may be without internet service. This is not any fault of Charters. It’s just the way the fire went and what it took out along its path. We know they are working around the clock with more resources than we have available to us, to restore service in all affected areas.

Please have patience for them and treat them kindly online and when you call. This may be frustrating to you, but it is not their fault.

If you must immediately have the internet to work from home or get school from home, we are taking a limited number of new customers in the order we receive them.

If you can find alternative ways to get the information you need, such as through your cell phone or a hot spot, we strongly encourage you to do so.

We are going to have to prioritize businesses, teachers, and students and those that require it for working from home.

It is not our intent to take advantage of our good luck and take a bunch of Charter customers. In fact, we have reached out to Charter to let them know that if they need our help to restore service, to not hesitate to ask. We are all in this together.

We are actively working on providing free high-speed wireless services in our parking lot, through our sister company, Rogue Broadband, for Charter customers so that you can sit in your car and get your email or do zoom meetings as needed.

If you need a conference room to do a zoom meeting, we can facilitate that, just call to schedule a time.

Our hearts go out to everyone that lost their homes and business. We are doing everything we can to help as many as we can, including our own employees.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
